Boryeong Mud Festival Photos

The Boryeong Mud Festival had to be one of my favorite festivals ever.

The venue

One of the few ginormous slides

The climb up

But check out that line, ugh...

And it kept going...

If you're lookin' too clean you might get thrown in Mud Prison

With Sophie & Ben pre-gettin' muddy

With a name like that, how can I not eat here?

Let the Mudfest begin!

Painting it on with paintbrushes

Nearly covered

I think I missed a spot

Ben showing off his juggling skillz

And I mine

These pics are so blurry cuz they're Sophie's from her plastic waterproof old school camera she bought for the Mudfest and, as you can imagine, the camera was a muddy mess.

Chillin' on the beach

This guy's friends gave him female & male genitalia. Nice!

Kickin' it in Geumchon, oh oh

An instant classic from some guys rappin' Beastie Boys style in Geumchon, Korea. Hysterical.

"Baby One More Time"

This song is all the rage here in Korea. My kids are constantly singing it in class when I tell them to do something one more time..."Baby One More Time..."

At first I thought it sounded like circus music but the more I listen to it, the more I like it. It's just one of those things.

Eric Shanteau

Eric Shanteau really is a badass. Check out this article too. I even saw a short bit about him on CNN International right here in Seoul, Korea one morning, much to my complete shock & utter surprise. I used to build forts in my cousins' backyard and play baseball in the cul-de-sac with this guy when we were kids!

Good luck in Beijing, Eric. I hope to watch you on TV as I'm right next door in Korea.

We'll be heading to the Boryeong Mud Festival next weekend. It looks to be a crazy time!
