The Italian brother-sister duo Santo & Claudia Vitale ran A Casa Di Amici, the B&B where I worked part-time. This is Santo, who also runs his own shop, La Bottega delle Percussioni, pictured here. His band plays a fusion of African & Sicilian music -- very cool.

In case you're wondering about the red hair, there are quite a few red-headed Italians in Sicily thanks to the Normans who ruled the island for some time back in the day. That's part of what makes Sicily so fascinating -- the mix of different cultures (Norman, Arab, Spanish, Italian, African).
